1. Edit Password

Edit Password allows you to modify the username, password you captured. You can either click the "Edit Pwd" button or use mouse click the column that contains the password value directly. Type in the new password. Click "Show Pwd" button to show the password (just in case you forgot).

Edit Password can also serve as your favorites for all the password protected websites. Just click the Title drop down list and select the website you want to go to.

Delete button will delete the current captured site.

2. Sites

Sites provide easy access to all the websites that you have captured.

3. Export

Export all captured username and password in a secure file so that it can be imported on another machine. The exported data is encrypted using Triple-DES. We also allow you to set "Export Authorization Password" in Preferences so that only you can export your captured data (just in case you logon to your computer and left it unattended for a while).

4. Import

Import allows you to import the SignOn file that you exported from another machine (for example from machine at work). Importing a SignOn file will overwrite any data that was captured previously on the current machine.

5. Preferences

You can set preferences through this dialog box.
  • "Try to automatically signon to the website": by default this options is checked. SignOn will try to automatically sign-on to the website if it can. This will save you the trouble of clicking a button to sign-on to the website. If this options is not checked JCSoft SignOn will just fill out the username and password and will not signing on automatically
  • "Change export authorization password": check this to change the export authorization password. Initially the password is blank. It's highly recommended that you change the export authorization password. Otherwise if you leave your machine logged on and unattended other people can export all your captured password. As a safety tip we recommend you always lock your computer before you leave your desk.

    6. Registration

    If you haven't registered the product yet "Registration" menu item will be enabled. The trial version of JCSoft SignOn only allows you to capture 3 websites. Please register online. After you register you will get a License Code. Type in the License Code in the registration dialog box and you will get a fully functional JCSoft SignOn product.
